Immigration for business in Australia
Like many other foreigners, Indonesians can immigrate to Australia from Indonesia for business purposes. Up until recently, foreign investors from Indonesia could obtain a long-term business visa issued for a period of 3 years.
However, following the latest cooperation deals between the Australian and Indonesian representatives, businessmen from Indonesia can now migrate to Australia for business purposes for a period of 5 years, as the duration of the visa has been increased.
This means that the foreigners can also apply for permanent residency, which can also lead to Australian citizenship, provided that the Indonesians permanently relocated here want to apply for it. Our Australia migration lawyer can provide information on the main requirements imposed for citizenship.
How long does it take to process a visa in Australia?
The Australian authorities want to improve their visa processing capacities – for instance, as of the latest procedural modifications, the business visa can now be processed in only 3 days.
However, immigration to Australia can be highly influenced by the type of visa a foreigner wants to obtain (in the case of certain visas, the application can take many months).
But is it also worth knowing that the duration of the processing has been decreased for one of the most common visas issued in Australia, the visitor visa (Subclass 600). Persons who immigrate to Australia from Indonesia must also apply for a visitor visa.
